Tornow Times, Feb. 10

Dear Fourth Grade Families,
Welcome to another week of growing and learning at Christ Lutheran!  We are enjoying taking this time to appreciate you, our families.  You are the reason I am here every day!  You sacrifice, share, and partner with me in so many ways. Thank you!  Please join us on the plaza tomorrow after school, so that we can thank you in a tangible way with some snacks and fellowship time!

Student-led parent conferences are coming up soon!  Thank you to the families that have already requested a time.  Here’s the link to sign up if you haven’t yet: Conference Sign-Up

Re-enrollment is in full swing!  We are eager to see you back at Christ Lutheran next year.  Please take the time to register this week!

Valentine’s Day is this week!  I have asked students to make their mailboxes at home and bring them to school on Wednesday or Thursday.  It can be as simple as a grocery bag with their name on it, or they can get creative!  It must fit on their desk and have enough room inside to fit their Valentines.

Here’s what’s happening this week in fourth grade:
Monday – Step-up Day – Students will experience a brief time in fifth grade!  Spelling this week is review words from the last 6 weeks.  We will begin writing “How-to” essays.
Tuesday – Don’t forget to bring recorders to school.
Wednesday – Chapel, Unit 4 Math Assessment
Thursday – Valentine’s Part 8:30 – 9:30
Friday – NO SCHOOL – Teacher inserviceMonday 2/17 – NO SCHOOL for President’s DayIt’s going to be a great week!  See you on Monday!
