As inquisitive learners, they use their knowledge base to ask questions and think about purpose and process. Participation in an active learning environment, fosters creativity and curiosity through the application of interdisciplinary techniques, collaborative strategies, and project-based learning. As a result, independence grows as they discover capability.

Applying Foundational Skills to New Learning - Fourth grade students are more confident as fluent readers, allowing them to effectively learn from research and written texts, as well as enjoy longer and more complex novels. They are curious and love experiencing content through hands-on learning as well as technology tools. Chromebooks are a resource to practice math skills, write, create, and collaborate. Students grow daily in their faith as they study God's Word, ask deep questions, and explore what it means to be followers of Christ.

Acquiring a Clear Sense of Interests and Abilities - Fifth grade students are independent and are developing a clear sense of their interests and abilities. They are effective collaborators who enjoy group work and peer relationships. They are more able to comprehend abstract concepts and ideas and apply this understanding to all subject areas. Fifth graders develop greater personal responsibility for organization, homework and studying, as they prepare for the challenges of middle school. Growing in their understanding of God's plan and His love for them, they develop a bigger picture of the story of salvation.

Experiencing Block Scheduling with Collaborative Learning - Middle school students build organizational skills and study habits as they experience multiple teachers who promote dynamic learning experiences for student success. They build Christian character to be a positive influence to all they encounter as they apply their faith and work within a safe, fair and healthy environment. Students journey through Ancient Civilization to current events to build awareness of culture and new ideas, and they explore math concepts through problem solving and reasoning skills. They explore relevant, real-world problems in an investigative approach with collaboration and discussion through project-based learning.
